If you see a Grizzle on the PCT please get a picture of it.  I am sure a 
Forrest Ranger would love to see your picture because Grizzley's are suppose 
to be extinct in the lower 48 except for maybe in Glacier National Park.  On 
the other hand, if it is a Black Bear, hanging your food won't do any good.  
Mom sends the cubs up the tree to train them in the proper technique of food 
retreival.  

Here are 3 suggestions on how to keep YOUR food from the bears:

1.  Use exhisting bear boxes
2.  Get VERY good at stealth camping
3.  LUCK, LUCK, LUCK
