Please do keep in your mind: Methan emission. Big contribution by human gastrointestinal tract !

We once tried to develop a kind of personal recycling gadget. This would have been very clever since methan can be used as an energie source itself. (BTW, scientists of the energie corporations are trying to find a way how to use the huuuuuge amounts of methan that are in the oceans)
We thought it would be a good idea to put sth like a flexible tube.....(room for your imagination)..... and collect the gas inside a small canister one carries constantly on the back (similar a small backpack). The gas could be reused for heating or so. Unfortunately at that time the consciousness concerning polution was even less developed than nowadays. It turned out being useless to follow that thread.

Perhaps it is the right time now. One could use self-produced Methan for cooking on the trail. Environmental friendly. And it would solve the fuel supply issue.

I vote for keeping the reindeer-sleigh, btw.
