Yes, we sent an email via Pocketmail from the top of Mt Katahdin when we 
finished our Triple Crown in 2003. No, we didn't carry a phone, it belonged 
to someone else atop Mt Katahdin. And the coverage that day was good then 
bad from the same spot. I wish I knew what type of phone she carried because 
we haven't been able to get a cell phone to transmit our Pocketmail emails 
since. I believe she must have had a dual mode (digital and analog) phone.
