[pct-l] MT Whitney PCT - JMT route
The PCT guidebook also shows that alternate river route from the area before
Agnes Meadow campground (about 4.3 miles beyond JMT/PCT) and says "continue
straight ahead, up river, having many camping opportunities before rejoining
the PCT in 5.9 miles at about 1/2 mile west of the Badger Lakes." Those
lakes are close to Thousand Island Lake.
Never had done it, but it could be just as nice as the PCT, but not as nice
as the JMT. At least there would be water and camping places if you needed
them. Unless there is too much water in early summer. Don't know about
mosquitoes since we had none until Tuolumne Meadows.
