[pct-l] MT Whitney PCT - JMT route



Yes, I took that trail this year on the JMT, in hopes to get to Red's meadow
sooner, (I had done the JMT section from 1000 island lake to Devil's
postpile on a previous trip). The river trail is definitely not as scenic as
the JMT, and was rather dusty with many horse trains using it that day! It
stays close to the river though, so you can take a dip if it's hot, like we
did. It ended up being a quicker route, as we thought, but I would have
rather hiked the JMT...

I see om my JMT map that there is also a trail along the river between them,
has anyone taken that route ??
