[pct-l] Is foot size chang less of a problem with boots than with lightweight shoes?

My experience matches what you have suggested. My foot size changed
from an 11 to 12 while wearing trail runners on the PCT, but did not
change while wearing boots on the AT. I used an all leather fabric
lined mid-weight boot for 1300 mi. and a cordura/leather light-weight
boot for the remainder.
