[pct-l] Is foot size chang less of a problem with boots than with lightweight shoes?

Can only say that it wasn't a problem for me on my thru hike in boots.
But then, I have triple e feet, so that is about as wide as they can get
I'm betting that people with narrow feet have feet enlargement on a thru
hike, especially in running shoes. I think that running shoes "give" more than
boots do because of the nature of their construction, enabling the foot to
squish into the expanded space
I also think that a solid vibram sole makes the bottom of the feet much
less vulnerable to bruising from rocky trail conditions. The brusing could cause
swelling, not to mention pain
