[pct-l] Gear list
You certainly have a light load - don't think you need to go lower.
You indicated it doesn't include the cold weather gear. But, you will be
carrying that from the border. So, you need to add a jacket/pullover,
gloves, and some type of bottoms unless your rain gear is warm enough. Also
camera film or batteries. Trail guide. You probably don't need 3
washcloths - 1 small towel will do. Probably add less than 1 lb - so that
makes it around 10 lbs.
I wonder about the rain gear - sounds quite light. Will it hold up?

OK here it is my 2004 PCT gear list.
I don't have a scale, so I took the loaded pack to the local postoffice, the
weight was 9lb. 3oz., but I will give the approximate weight of the larger
items. Any constructive criticism will be appreciated, I would like to lower
the weight.
Pack G5 pack from GVP gear 8oz. ( my son will be using my old G-4 pack)

eyedrops
a variety of pills
Esbit stove and tabs 4oz
This does not count what I am wearing or have in pockets, or cold weather
gear.
