Hi Tom, Agreed. what constitutes comfort is a personal thing. It is also relative. I've noticed the ground getting softer ever night when I'm on a long trip. also I've never done an extended trip where there wasn't some sort of resting place at least every hour or two. BTW, I've never BP'd in So Cal. John
