For a great American made tent, check out the Moss superfly. The tent body 
weighs 2lbs. 8 oz. and has an optional floor that weighs 12 oz. Tent has 4 
ft.8 in. of height, 10 'length, 5'ft. 9" width. Can use one trekking pole or 
the 8 oz pole that comes with the tent. Cost is 259.00 for tent and is rated 
1 to 2 hikers. Moss phone# 1-800-859-5322 (they also make a superfly 4 man 
tent that weighs just over 4 lb. and is 6' in height) Should be a thru-hikers 
dream
