I don't think Plan A and Plan B were defined your way. Greg certainly didn't
mean it that way. He chose Plan A [naturally not expecting 5 kids} over Plan
B and is happy with his choice. That doesn't mean that he doesn't miss what
he gave up. What is interesting is his clear distinction even now 20 years
ago. [maybe the fifth kid will change him]
What I find most interesting is the threads from people having difficulty
integrating the two. Comments like "the thruhike was like a dream" are
interesting. Obviously many, even most people have little trouble
integrating the two and the Ranger's comments were incorrect [I sent a
private post to the poster because my response might be construed as
inflammatory] I suspect it was the Ranger having conflicts between his
civilized and uncivilized life.
