Re: [pct-l] ground cloth

On a week long trip in Desolation in 1994, I used a space type blanket for a
ground cloth and it worked great. Mine was silver on one side and red on
the other, kind of a mylar laminate, so it wasn't a true emergency blanket.
The beauty of this thing is you get two completely different effects
depending upon which side goes down. If it's warm enough to sleep in
comfort, put the silver side down. If it's going to be cold, put the silver
side up; it reflects your body heat. The difference is really quite
amazing. BTW, don't place your stove on the blanket, you'll get a nice
round hole burned through it.
