[pct-l] Snow level 300 in Wash.

Looks grim for any Southbounders this year! Even a July 1st start date will
give you heavy snow though half of Washington. Snow levels around 150%. I
would shoot for Mid-April ( even April 1st.) for a Northbound trip. If you
leave a week or two early, you buy time should you ding up an ankle,
tendenituous or get sick.  If you start May 1st, a mishap could make you kiss
off your thu-trip should you have to leave the trail awhile. Good Luck Class
of 99! More people will finish the AT this year than have ever finished the
PCT in all the years put together! You do need everything plus a spot of luck
to finish in one season. Most hikers starting this trail will not complete it.
