I saw the OL channel's Wilderness Camper show last night, too, and thought
I heard the figure for bear to car damage quoted at 500,000 dollars, not
500 million. You figure if a new car costs on average $20,000, then that
would mean 25,000 brand new cars being completely annihilated if park blackie
were causing 500 million in damage... can't be. Godzilla perhaps could be
blamed for such total destruction, and maybe he's just the creature we need
to get visitation down. What do you think, Ed Abbey?
As for blisters, don't know anything personally about them <bg>, but I would
think antiperspirant would be more effective than a straight deodorant. If I
had a blister problem, though, I think I'd try a petroleum product on my feet
before giving into something containing aluminum.
