THERE IS NO SEDATIVE. THE ONLY RELIEVE IS IN HIKING OR THE 3 BITES A DAY
ROUTINE AND YOU ARE RIGHT YOU MAY BE SHACKLED TO A LIVE ON THE TRAIL.
BUT, IF YOU GET THE RIGHT SPOUSE AND READ MY BOOK "SEX IN THE WILDERNESS"
AND PRACTICE THE 99 WAYS TO CONTROL BACKPACKER ADDICTION YOU MAY FIND LIVE ON THE TRAIL QUIET EXITING.

I wounder if this is like being a vampire. You get it from someone infected.

  There is no cure! Bummer...

But if getting a beautiful spouse helps, I may need to look into that. In the meantime, I will have to start my hiking routine around Belden in the next few weeks. To keep the restless legs from becoming a problem.

I like that bite 3 times a day Idea. I guess I would have to find the right gal.

Yep, I got it real good case of thru-hiker blues, DR Reinholds. Man if I could just catch that varment that bit me.!

THATS IT! I will find him/her where ever that person is, AND they are no doubt somewhere on the trail, maybe even now. I should start hiking right away, on the PCT. They got to be on the trail somewhere! And if I don't find them on the PCT, then I will look on the CDT! Certainly there are somewhere on that. They can't run forever! They got to eat and sleep sometime! Then the Long trail, the Oregon trail, the sea to sea trail, next the ICDT and the Great wall of China (from one end to the other). Then....
  (you get the idea)

Boy you could spend your whole life doing trails...
Dr. Reinolds, you may need to get the Sedative out....

That's right, that is where many backpackers catch it, it seems to be a
gathering place for them vermin to pounce on unsuspecting backpackers. NO
    YOU NEVER GET FREED FROM
THIS ADDICTION. " ONCE BITTEN FOREVER HOOKED." As a matter of fact
the more often you get bitten the more addicted you become. Take SWITCHBACK
he first got bitten 40 years ago and he is still addicted. I got bitten
about 30 years ago and never got over it. And 10
years ago I got bitten real bad on the JMT and every summer now I come
    down with this JMT
fever and the only cure is to hike it, and I have bin hiking it every year
since. Looks like you got it real bad too. As a matter of fact I bet all
hard core backpackers and all posters on this site have been bitten at one
time ore another. WOULD GETTING A SPOUSE NULLIFY THE THE ADDICTION? I
don't think you ever get over this addiction. Take me, I have a spouse,
    I'm
still addicted. A spouse, however, can keep this addiction under control by
giving you a bite or two when the urge becomes to strong. Like an alcoholic
during a hang over another shot will
ease the hang over. SO MY ADVICE: get a spouse or a girl friend and if
they bite you often enough, at least 3 times a day during the backpacking
season, and hard enough you may get addicted to them and that may neutralize
your backpacking addiction. If they question the 3
times a day routine tell them Dr. Reinhold prescribed it.
