[pct-l] peaks along the PCT

Devils peak in Southern Oregon is, I think, about a quarter mile off the
trail. It would be hikeable but very steep. Also, I seem to remember one
called Alaska Peak (I could barely see it for the fog) that is right near
Joe Lake in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness.

> You know how Eagle Creek is an alternate which leaves the PCT but doesn't
interrupt a continuous hike? Well, what peaks near the PCT could be hiked
in the same alternate-route fashion?

reasonable-length alternates (not 50-mile roundtrips). Here's what I've
come up with so far:

> San Jacinto
> Baden-Powell
> Olancha
> Whitney
> Sierra Buttes
> Lassen
