Hello all,
My wife(recently) and I are planning to hike a section of the PCT in couple of weeks time an want to start east of Seattle and then hike south toward the Oregon border. We have read some "unpleasant" things about the section south of Snoqualmie Pass and are trying to figure out a way to hop on the trail further south, like at Camp Urich and Goverment Meadows. I have found the town of Greenwater to the West of Camp Urich, but have been pretty unsuccessful finding transportation options to get to camp urich and I am not even entirely sure of the existing roads in the direction of Camp Urich as the National Forest Service website was totally unhelpful. We will be starting in Seattle and needing to use public transportation to get from Seattle. We are not opposed to hiring a taxi/ walking a significant way into the PCT trail from Greenwater if this indeed would be the best town to enter the PCT from, but we would very much appreciate advise any of you might have about routes, companies
to contact, condition and feasibility of roads, etc. Thank you.
