[pct-l] Sierra Snow Entry Prediction



I think no significant equipment changes are needed with heavier snow
levels......but gaiters really, really help obviously.

creek fords are much easier with hiking poles, I'd consider using them after
last year early season sierra with no poles....

and again rudimentarily, walking on snow is obviously a little slower, but I
think the most important thing to alleviate post holing frustration and 2
hour miles is to time
your climbs over the passes somewhat early in the morning when the runnoff
is lowest and the snow the hardest, yet not ice.
