[pct-l] hammock on JMT

Question for those of you that have done the JMT.  Is it possible to use a hammock on the JMT?  I have been looking at various photos hikers have posted, and it looks like many areas are treeless.  Should I just take my old tent?  Has anyone used a hammock on the JMT?
