[pct-l] Bear Vault Canister

After having problems with dust in the thread of my Bear Vault 200 canister and
finding it unsuitable for the dusty PCT/JMT trails I returned it to REI for a
refund. Several times during my 32 day hike I could not open the Bear Vault  and
it turns out that I am not the only hiker to have problems. Probably because I
am weak in the arms after long hiking days and lacking the necessary
co-ordination and strength to open the Bear Vault. After all I am only a puny
147 lb 57 year old.  I contacted Bear Vault who said a silicone grease
application to the thread will fix the problem, it's worth a try.
