[pct-l] Trail head on Highway 49 near Sierra City

Hi--
This is Jo the section hiker again! Some of you were very kind to give me
directions early this Summer on our several section hikes North from
Tuolumne Meadows. Well, barring snow, my husband and I are determined to
walk one last section before the winter closes in and have found a trail
angel to pick us up where the PCT crosses highway 49 near Sierra City (we
plan to hike this short section this coming Sat and Sun from Donner Pass).
So, not being familiar with the intersection and already having got
ourselves in a bit of a muddle at other trailheads, I am hoping that someone
knows the area and can give us good instructions for our friends to pick us
up. Any advice would be most welcome. Thank-you!
