I Took a hike (6 milesfrom Bucks summit near Quincy) to Middle fork of the Feather River (14 miles). Got back after dark, saw over a dozen quail, one black bear cub making a run from me on the trail, and 1 good sized Doe. Bear Creek and Middle fork of the feather river have good bridges on them, sorry no photo's.
Saw Popcorn. He was vary talkative and aparently did the PCT last year, but stoped at Sierra city. So this year he was section hiking from Sierra city to Chester? He did the AT before last year, and I asked him if he was going to finish the PCT, seems that he wants, to by doing it in section over the next few years. So the class of 2005, may get to see him :-) on the trail somewhere...
