[pct-l] John Muir Trail start dates

again, the only way to cache food at devil's postpile, short of hiking in
there and stashing it somewhere ( in a bear box ? heheh) is to either mail
it to Red's Meadow Store or Mammoth. 2ndly, nobody knows what the actual
conditions are going to be around that time, so it's up to you to assess
your skills and attitude towards possible posthole filled climbs and
descents and the need for an ice axe, (the only specialized equipment for
snow you'll need unless you want to haul crampons) and gaitors. It's a tad
early for ANY guarantees.
