[pct-l] Fuel Amounts for Pepsi can stove

I with Bill on this - in laboratory conditions I can get my Pepsi stove
to boil two cups on an ounce, but when it's windy or the water is icy
cold, it takes more. However, I think alcohol stove construction is
finicky, especially true for the Pepsi stove.

Fuel availability is ok, but in '02 Cathy and I were always carrying two
stops worth of fuel, just in case the next town didn't have any. I've
tried Esbit tabs and like them, but technically they cannot be sent via
priority mail. This year Cathy and I are burning wood in a zip stove,
and will be enjoying hot drinks and long cooking meals for about the
average weight of our alcohol setup.

Kent.

I have used the pepsi can stove now extensively, and I defy those who
say they only use ONE oz, to boil water, or more importantly cook a
meal ...
