Mac's are hardly immune to virus. It's just that no one bothers to write
them for a platform that constitutes about 4% of the users. Just not worth
the trouble. It's actually just one more incompatibility....   ;o)

Well, that's one nice thing about using a Macintosh system: immune to the 
common virus. Kind of makes up for all the incompatibility. Kind of.
