[pct-l] shirt fabrics,sweating

Sounds hot enough to produce more sweating. The key would probably be to
increase airflow not put something between you and your pack that would
decrease air flow. You might consider a mesh Pack. or a mesh brace across
the width of the pack at the bottom (like the old kelty's had on their
frame).

The horse industry has been around the bend on this issue for a long time.
Heat buildup under all those saddle pads can be a problem. I've seen
riders use a rubber mat that looks like a grid (like those non skid pads
they use on shelves or in tool boxes). A pricey pad (250 bucks) looks like
a blue flattened plastic brillo pad, which is temperature sensitive and
moves and reacts with movement according to temperature. You not only need
air circulation but also it has to stay in place.

What you will find is that your salt intake and heat adaption(read water
conservation) will change after two weeks of hiking in heat. I believe
this is a hormonal feedback loop related to urine output. Whether it will
change your sweat on your back or not , I do not know. But experientially,
it seems I always sweat a lot more when I first start hiking on a trip or
journey. I would wait and see, unless you have dealt with hiking in heat
for more than two weeks.
