[pct-l] RE: Water at Walker Pass

In 2000 we also experienced no water at Walker Pass. Locals said nearby
farmers came with tankers and drained off the water for their own use. We
were told that the tanks need to be supplied by off site water, not by any
well or spring. Not sure if this is correct or not - just what we heard.
Some trail angels had set out some jugs of water, but not enough. We didn't
see water anywhere else nearby. We hitched down to Onyx (harder to get down
than back up).
