Re: the Apacer portable CD buner for digital
phtotography.  Sounds like that could be a good
solution, as long as you don't mind the CD burner unit
bouncing along in a bounce box (just pad it well).

Maybe a good approach is just have two 512 Mb cards
with you at all times, and the burner in the bounce
box with some blank CDs.  When you get the bounce box,
just burn off two copies of each 512 Mb cardful of
pictures, and mail separately home (to make sure at
least one makes it!).

You'd probably make some friends of other digital
camera-equppied hikers at the post office when you
pulled out the portable CD burner and blank CDs!
