I had a lot of success with one of those bandanas that read "Hiker to Trail"
and "Hiker to Town" on them. I used one that I purchased from this site as
the letters were very bright and large.

I also found that it helped if you walked with a limp and acted as if you
were in pain..I didn't have to act as my knees were always very sore.
