[pct-l] two-car hiking

Re: hitching:
We have heard that older couples have the easiest time getting rides. We
hear they seem less threatening. Seems to work okay for us. One of the best
ways to get a ride remains to engage the potential driver in conversation.
When they discover you are walking from Mexico to Canada they will likely
give you a ride.

Re: 2 car hiking:
We saw several people doing this on the AT this year. Mostly long distance
section hikers. I don't know if any of them finished a thru-hike, but they
enjoyed the opportunity to meet the same people on the trail every day or
two.
