[pct-l] Stealth camping - All in a word.

>> So please, if you stealth camp, don't make a fire and use it only as a
place to sleep. If you want to camp out, choose a designated campsite
(and take a bear canister if you're worried about bears). <<

Seems to me the word "Stealth" in Stealth Camping pretty much says it all. I
don't really think group camps, sing alongs and campfires really qualify as
stealthy.

Stealth is also the ultimate in LNT. It's about minimal impact on the flora
and fauna. It's about seeing without being seen. Someone mentioned how using
a bear canister allows you to camp in those great sites like along lakes,
streams, etc. However, if you're practicing LNT hiking, you're not camping
that close to lakes, streams and such.

I'm a great fan of LNT, however if stealth allows me to save my back, save
the animals and save the forest, all at once. I'm all for it.
