To Mountain Dave:
I give up what was the simple answer to the riddle?
Were the hikers kidnapped by Aliens and the bag fell out of the spacecraft
door as it took off?
Was the cable struck by lightning causing the photographer to release the
pack that he had taken off to change the film?
Was the pack snatched by a Bald Eagle and later dropped as it did not
contain any food?
Was the pack carried away by an avalanche that killed all the members of
the party?
Were the hikers murdered by a chainsaw wielding maniac and discarded later
to hide the evidence?
Were they all killed because they saw something in San Francisco or while
up the cable, thay they werent meant to see (conspiracy theory).
