Tioga Pass and Glacier Point Roads to Open This Weekend

Yosemite National Park Superintendent Michael J. Tollefson announced today
that both the Glacier Point Road and Tioga Pass Road will open this weekend.
Beginning at noon on Saturday, May 31, the Glacier Point Road and the Tioga
Pass Road, the continuation of Highway 120 between Crane Flat and Lee
Vining, will open for the season.
The projected opening dates for both roads had previously been set for June
6.

Visitor services are not yet available on either road. No drinking water,
gasoline, or food service will be available until water and wastewater
systems can be put in service. Services will be expanded as conditions
permit. There are no weight restrictions in effect.
Restroom facilities will be available at Glacier Point, Tenaya Lake, Lembert
Dome, and at the Tioga Pass Entrance Station.
Camping or overnight accommodations are not yet available on either road.
There are no projected opening dates for the campgrounds at Bridalveil,
Crane Flat, Tuolumne Meadows, White Wolf, Porcupine Creek, Tamarack Flat, or
Yosemite Creek.

There are no projected opening dates for the Glacier Point Store, Tuolumne
Meadows Lodge, Store and Service Station, or the White Wolf Lodge.
