[pct-l] RE: Tehachapi re-route possible?

I live a few miles from the new city. The way I see it, there probably won't be money enough to buy all of that land, and all of the additional land required to make the trail go around the Antelope valley. I doubt that Tejon would sell off the entire Tehachapi mountain range. They would probably donate small bits for tax reasons as needed. There are also other pieces of the puzzle that would have to be purchased from other landowners.
On the plus side, hikers will get to walk past plenty of strip mall style pizza parlors as they hike.

"Set Aside" means "sell" in this case. My early morning cynicism made me
check the article out.

No Way
