Re: [pct-l] preparing for altitude

Mike

I live at 500' in the Sacramento CA area and have found that it takes about 3
days. I eat well and take in plenty of fluids. Also for reference I am 44 years
old and sit in front of a computer all day but I train for my extended trips by
hiking 8 to 10 miles 2 times a month for 6 months prior to a 50 plus mile trip.

PS I usually hike the Grand Canyon every other year over New Years and have found
no problem adjusting to the elevation.
