[pct-l] BTU's
Alcohol is reasonably safe and was used on the Scott polar trip to antartica.
The stoves are also the lightest made. One offset though is more fuel is
needed to heat X amount of water than with white gas. Alcohol does not have
the same BTU's per ounce than white gas has. ( more fuel needs to be packed
than white gas or Kerosene ) Depending on your cooking needs, white gas may
be , in the long run, just as light. Alcohol was the boaters fuel till
propane took over . Still alcohol stove are not likely to explode your rammon
noodles all over the Sierras either. Stove man
