I know that thru-hikers were able to rent bear canisters from the store at
Toulumne Meadows.  I beleive the rate was a flat rate, not a daily rate, and
was about $2.  I understand that you must leave a deposit, and can mail the
canister back when you are through.  I would suggest calling the store to be
sure my information is correct.
