The PCT is a horse/mule trail.  So far as I can recall there are just a 
couple short stretches where packers follow an alternate route.  The biggest 
problem may be in sections with blowdowns or washouts.  Maintenance takes 
time and people, so sometimes doesn't get done as quickly as we would like.  

Major highways are crossed on overpasses (or, in one case, a tunnel).  Other 
roads, you just look both ways and scamper.  In short, have a great ride!
