North Lake to South Lake [Both near Bishop, CA] Is probably the best single PCT
hike that doesn't require a difficult car shuttle. Do this in Agust. There ARE
bears and Muir Pass will get your attention as will Bishop and Piute Passes but
that's the Sierra
