[pct-l] Camera prop

I have a friend who takes groups to Europe for Photo classes. She suggested
taking an old sock and
filling it with beans or little styrofoam beads, and using this for a camera
rest on rocks and other uneven
surfaces. It will mold to the shape of the camera and surface, and is very
stable. This would keep you
camera from sliding off the rock just when you set the timer and just ran over
to get in the picture.
She suggested this since I told her I wasn't going to take a tripod.
You could even make a tripod from some sticks and rest the "bag" on top if you
wanted the angle of a
larger tripod.
