The Danner Lights that I use are not hard to break in because they have
only a half-shank. They are no heavier than most hiking boots and are built
like a tank. Care consists mainly of treating the leather every once in a
while. The stitching and the nylon are indestructable. These boots may be
hard to find and may not fit everybody but if they fit they will be
comfortable quickly.
