Earthwalk Press of Eureka California (1-800-828-6277) has published a map titled,
"Anza Borrego Desert Region". It is a topographical (80 ft countours) rendition
of eastern San Diego county. It shows the trail clearly marked as it runs from
just south of Cibbets Flat (sect. A.) to about 4 miles south of the Palms to Pines
road crossing in section B. It details ranger stations, picnic areas, springs,
campgrounds, places that offer meals or groceries, and medical clinics. It is
constructed of waterproof paper, printed in six colors, and is priced around
$7.95. IMO, humble or otherwise, it is detailed enought to keep a hiker on the
trail, and is large enough in scope to be able to take bearings from a variety of
landmarks. The scale is 7/8" to the mile, or 1:73,250.
