[pct-l] Bear Boxes

One of the reasons they may have removed the bear boxes is because they
are also bear magnets. My last "close encounter"...less than ten feet
from a 600lb black bear[estimate only, I didn't ask him how much he
weighed] while I was getting food out of a bear box in Yosemite last
summer. Thank God they are about as tame as dogs. He was not the least
bit afraid of being that close to a human.
