[pct-l] source for more foot problem advice

One of my passtimes is ultra distance (longer than a marathon) trail
running. I'll go out on a Sunday, see more and cover more distance than
most folks do on a 5 day trip. There are several thousand folks like me in
the USA, and a thousand-or-so of us are on a couple of mailing list.

I bring this up because of the recent posts about foot care. If you think
that hikers have foot problems, you ain't seen nothing when compared to
ultra runners, and they LOVE to discuss their aches, pains, blisters,
bunions, black toenails, and how they go about fixing/preventing them.

There is much cross-over between long distance hiking and trail
ultra-running, so if you don't mind wading through the posts about races to
get the ones that matter to you, then I suggest subscribing to these lists.
There is about 10 times the number of posts as on PCT-L, so I suggest
setting the digest mode.

There are two similar lists (as the result of a flame war in '95), ULTRA
and IUS-L. Ultra is more "hardcore" and is a little busier. Most messages
get posted to both lists.
