I'm attempting to repost this message (after being bounced by majordomo) as

ORIGINAL MESSAGE:

A friend of mine called my attention to an article in the December 1998
Backpacker Magazine. For those of you who subscribe, it's on page 22 under
"Giardia Roundup."

Basically, it says 

"Dogs can contract stomach-turning 'beaver fever,' just like their owners,
according to the Division of Parasitic Diseases" at the CDC in Atlanta, GA.

"Worse, your pet can pass the parasite to you, your kids and other pets."


So what's next, doggie water filters?
