Am having a hard time finding anyone with any experience in trying on or using a MountainTools pack. I am especially interested in their larger flexframe packs, and especially especially interested in their "ultralight" packs.
I am looking for (roughly) a 5000ci pack, with field replaceable suspension (padding), comfortable @ <30lbs, never more than 40lbs., which weighs no more than 1lb/1000ci capacity, not necessarily built with every HEAVYduty fabric/technique known to man, and maybe even domestically built. I have tried MANY, and the closest thing I can come to is the MountainSmith MountainLights. They're my strawman at this point.
Have you tried MountainTools packs? What did you think?
