FWIW, I will doing a 5 day trip in Hetch Hetchy at the end of this month. I
always carry a bear can in Yosemite. And I have always seen bears on my trips,
but never had an incident. 

If anyone is in the area that weekend, perhaps we'll meet. Otherwise, I'll
post anything interesting when I get back!
