Apologies for not responding directly to whoever asked whether water will be available this weekend at Cottonwood creek.  (I deleted the posting.)  Water *IS* currently on at the Los Angeles aqueduct tap near Cottonwood creek.

Scheduled maintenance that leaves the tap dry has been finished for the year, so water is expected to be on at the tap through the hiking season.  Only if a need for emergency repairs to the aqueduct arises would the tap be dry.
