Crampons?? I used full metal crampons on four lb boots. Not the best choice today!! Flyin Brian used sheet metal screws in his running shoes which worked like studs on tires. My pick would be Stubi Ultralights which have a nylon bindling that works well with running shoes or light boots. Good on Adams, Shasta etc. These are a good option if you like to do a few " Side" trips as well and don't want to stay in the " Cattle Trail" across passes...... Cameras?? Get one that takes a Polarizer. Photosoft still has no replacement for this tool , yet. ( Only game in town) If you could have only one filter,,, this is it. I would hate have hiked this trail with no camera, ,as some have. I am bias and am a " Camp Canon" fan. Nikonis good. The Pentax point and shoots win the all weather game though not sure if they take filters.
