OK gang,
I'm now able to wear two shoes again (the doctors will NOT be
re-breaking my left leg, as previously predicted). So now I have a few
pair of shoes with a very new left foot and a very worn out right foot.
I've been hiking for a couple of years in NB 870's and need some new
shoes. What's the latest on PCT worthy trail shoes? No boot info please
- my thru hike base weight is 9.5 lb. I'm guessing there's a newish NB
type of highly breathable top/pretty solid sole type of shoe, and would
love to get some help getting up to speed on what's out there these days.
Also, even though I'm still in a leg brace (the ankle articulates and I
can get my trail runner over it), I'll be hiking the Barrel Springs -
Warner Springs section this weekend -rain or no rain. It's a flat enough
section for me to get through in my present state. I'll still be in a
leg brace at Trailfest though - bummer.
Thanks in advance for any help and tips.
Mike Maurer
